Why get a new boiler?

The answer is that it's one of the best investments you can make, even if it sounds unlikely!

Old boilers are typically 55-60% efficient, modern ones are roughly 90-95% efficient. Replacing older models could slash energy use (bills!) by 50%.

Is the installation difficult?

Relax. We provide a price comparison. We can either get quotes for supply and fit, or for supply only. Most people get supply and fit - if you're buying a boiler from a company and getting them to fit it, the quote will often be cheaper.

The job itself takes from 4 hours up to a day, depending a bit on your property. It may change from company to company. This is quicker than most people expect. After all, modern boilers are designed with this in mind. You will have to put up with no water for a couple of hours, but after that you'll be saving hundreds of pounds every year.

There are other advantages too. For example, people often report better water pressure in their showers or hot taps. Many old properties have boilers installed that aren't really powerful enough, so you may well find you have much more pleasant, and cheaper, showers. You also won't get the dreaded sensation of running out of hot water as much. The installer will ask a few questions about your hot water use when they visit to install it to make sure you get the best boiler for you. It should meet your water use requirements at the lowest, most efficient price possible.
